what actual customer say about Holy City Helicopters

My mother, sister and I were in Charleston for a show on Jan 26. We were so excited about this event we got in town early. So we decided to take a helicopter tour in our spare time. Dylan greeted us with genuine enthusiasm. We went through the necessary safety exercise which was concise, then off we went! This tour is completely different from others I've been on. No hokey "Top Gun" music fed to your headset, with pre-recorded tour narrative. Quite the opposite! Dylan asked us what we would like to see and did just that. The coolest thing was the hover over Charleston Bay, turning in perfect hover to point out the islands, with interesting facts about the old structures on them, even about the structures that no longer existed. Very smart and skilled pilot. He took us for a look at the old Lighthouse. I know he told us how old it was, but can't remember because I was transfixed on how he was able to position us to even see inside the top of the structure, but NEVER felt like we're too close or in danger. A pod of dolphins caught his eye and took us over to watch them. This too was really cool. We decided we wanted to see some neat spots in the marsh, so he took us into an area that had almost no homes, really pretty. He spotted and pointed out a huge school of redfish (I believe) that were in a shallow part of the creek. The water was crystal clear and you could literally see every detail on these gorgeous fish. We got to see Osprey on a nest from a safe distance. Dylan was always conscious of being as unintrusive as possible to nature and her habitants, but gave us a show we would otherwise never get to see, only from straight up and low. We finished touring Kiawah, which is gorgeous. The Golf Course from the helicopter is impressive. Then flew up the beach, cutting across the edge of the city seeing the steeples. Then Dylan hovered again allowing my mother to switch lenses to get a picture of what Dylan considered to be the best angle in "that time of day" for the best picture of the city with her grand steeples. He was right, her shots were fantastic. We even got a bonus glimpse of the interior of the Citadel with Cadets marching as we went back to airport. Landing was like being sat on a pillow. NEVER had such a soft landing in a helicopter. Dylan was kind enough to let us get pictures with him and the helicopter, never making us feel rushed. Holy City Helicopters TRUMPED the event we were so hyped about, HANDS DOWN! If you have an opportunity to take this tour, I highly recommend. I have seen Charleston the way it should be seen and will NEVER forget this experience. Anyway, isn't that what life is really all about? Review
We booked a sunset flight for Saturday 2/13/16 and everything was awesome!! Hayden, Dylan and Kyle could not have been more helpful, professional or a joy to deal with. The process was seamless, the product delivered exactly as advertised and the customer service was top notch. When I had a question it was either answered within minutes with a phone call or email and when (at the last minute) I had an issue and needed to speak with someone, they actually answered the phone and provided me with the explanation and or guidance needed. There is a reason this company has more positive reviews than any other company. They rock!! The flight was exactly what we ordered and we wee very VERY happy. Thanks guys! Visited January 2016

Seriously an experience of a lifetime! My boyfriend and I went to Charleston for the Valentine's Day weekend and we were looking for something to do that was different, memorable and exciting and the team at Holy City Helicopters delivered that and then some! They had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. They really went the extra mile to make it a day I will never forget as long as I live. We did a 45 minute tour of Charleston and we both had the biggest smiles on our faces the entire time. Highly recommend this to's worth every penny!!!! HUGE thank you to our incredible pilot and the rest of the team. We'll be back for another tour!!! Visited February 2016

As Charleston continues to grow, with it grow awesome services like what the guys at Holy City Helicopter offer.  While these services can be classified as somewhat similar, HCH moves above the rest with their outstanding service levels.
Recently, I was brainstorming a marriage proposal to my now fiancée and Hayden and Dylan offered what could only be described as a dream proposal.  From beginning to end, these two Gentlemen offered their feedback and their trust in what can be a semi-stressful life event.
While I would hope that a simple question would do the job, HCH left us both with a day that we will never forget.  If you are also looking for a day that you won’t forget while seeing the “Holy City” from the air, you do not have to go any further than Holy City Helicopter!!
I received a 30min flight as a birthday gift from my wife. The pilot was very professional, already had the helicopter prepped and just waiting on us to arrive (and we were 15min early.) The pilot noticed that I was very interested in all the gauges (I love aviation things) and explained exactly what he was doing, what the gauges were, and what the helicopter was doing as he manipulated the controls. The pilot knew the area he was flying over and gave history of the islands and structures we flew over. The seats were comfortable and the helicopter had A/C that worked great. If you are afraid of heights, then this flight might be a tough task to take. I am afraid of heights and broke out in a sweat. The helicopter takes off from the "fancier" terminal at the Charleston airport, but not at the commercial airport. So pulling up and getting inside made me feel rich.

These guys are, hands down, the best in the South at what they do. Owner/ operator Hayden Ervin is a personable, approachable, calm and skilled pilot who prides himself on the best experience a customer can get. This company just gets helicopter tours and business. Safety first, fun always. If you need anything, from tours at sunset to gyro-mounted filming/ photography, go see the people at Holy City Helicopters. You'll be glad you did! #gettodachoppa!

Absolutely wonderful!!! I arranged for my fiance and I to take a helicopter tour of the Charleston Harbor for his birthday. OMG it was amazing! Our pilot was very personable. He was also very knowledgeable, and pointed out different points of interest. He also positioned the helicopter so that I was able to get an amazing aerial photo of the Ravenel Bridge. If you are looking to do something fun and out of the box, then I would definitely give theses guys a call. They will not disappoint!
